A Paradigmatic Lexical Relation Study of Analysing Entailment in Identity and Inclusion Relations

While paradigmatic lexical/sense relations are traditionally used to analyse the between lexical items, present article adopts a descriptive qualitative method, based on Cruse’s (2000) classification of relations, find identity and inclusion two items in different texts by using logical entailment relation. The aims at finding out whether or not can be substituted another without changing their meaning; meaning one item is included other; validity these context tested as relations. study concludes that has context-bound relation with regard Entailment occurs freely propositional synonymy. Although near synonymy close meanings related, cannot attained. hyponymy unilateral i.e., hyponym entails superordinate, but superordinate does entail each hyponym. meronymy stands if patronym holonym, stand under holonym partonym.
